Since the day they existed, they have been active or passive users or actors of space. Spaces are architectural objects people are in, pass by, use, or come into contact with. Therefore, the formation of space, which started with the effort of human beings, brought with it design approaches, design principles, and design standards.
Ergonomics, which is an important factor in space design, serves purposes such as regulating the physical environmental conditions for space users, providing comfort, and creating a healthy environment. The main purpose of ergonomics is to design spaces based on people's needs, requirements, movements, and behaviors. In this context, issues such as making comfort conditions suitable in all places where people live and designing the equipment according to the physiology of the users constitute the components of ergonomics. The science of ergonomics establishes standards in parallel with the functions of all spaces and provides quantitative databases to be used in space designs. In this context, there are ergonomics design principles and acceptances prepared differently for each type of space.
