Milletlerin yasaminda ve tarihin olusumunda bazi mekanlarin ve olaylarin ayri bir önemi ve degeri vardir; bunlardan biri, Fatih Sultan Mehmet'in Osmanli Devleti topraklarina katarak, bir çagi kapatip yeni bir çagi açtigi Asya kitasiyla Avrupa kitasinin kucaklastigi yerde, bir taç gibi oturan, tabii ve tarihi güzellikleri içinde, dünyanin en güzel sehri Istanbul; digeri ise, bir destan sehri olan Çanakkale'dir. Bilindigi gibi, Çanakkale Zaferi hem tevhidi kurtarmis, hem de Türklerin yok olmasini önlemistir. Atalarimiz Anadolu topraklarinda, Selçuklu'dan Osmanli Imparatorlugu'nu, Osmanlilar'dan yepyeni bir devlet olan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti'nin dogmasini saglayarak, Türklügün, Anadolu topraklarinnda bin yildan bu yana egemen olmasini gerçeklestirmistir. Ayrica, bu güçlü Cumhuriyet Devletini kuran Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk gerçek yönü ve dehasiyla Çanakkale topraklarinda dogmus ve buradan Türklerin bogulmayacagini haykirmistir. Some places and events carry a separate importance in the lives of nations and in the creation of history. One of these events was the addition of the most beautiful city in the world, the crown at the meeting point of Asia and Europe, Istanbul, to the Ottoman Empire by Mehmet the Conqueror; whereas the other, was the city of legends, Çanakkale. As it is known, the Battle of Çanakkale not only rescued unity, but also prevented the elimination of the Turks. By establishing first the Seljuks, followed by the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey, our ancestors succeeded in the continuation of Turkish sovereignty on Anatolian soil, for more than one thousand years. In addition, the founder of the Republic, Veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was born with his real genius and vision on Çanakkale soil, and it was here that he cried out that the Turks would never be suffocated.
